Educational Programs

All educational programs of the ICP International are managed and administered around the world through regional and national offices. This structure promotes networking between all international inline educational programs and allows for the sharing of resources and lays the foundation for a unique skater’s organization. 

Through the continuous development of the inline educator (instructor, volunteer, coach), skaters will be be exposed to the safest, most effective skill building methodogy available.  This continuity of instructional content and technique will  provide a consistent educational framework for inline skating around the world.

 

 



Inline Certification Program International (ICP International)

The ICP International is devoted to the development of professional inline skating instructors so skaters around the world can receive top quality instruction. For over 12 years the ICP has provided a consistent educational framework using proven skill building methods. With the increase in of our international instructor base, and the cultural diversity of participants interested in programs such as Level 3, it had become very obvious that there was a need more centralized ICP Offices. The idea of the ICP as an umbrella organization-and going forward interchangeably referred to as ICP International, will encourage the development of new centralized offices like ICP Europe, and will facilitate the growth and cooperation of new and current inline certifying bodies around the world.

These efforts to bring together existing associations and professionals encourages the exchange of skating information and instructional techniques between countries which can benefit the world-wide growth and popularity of the sport.

The goals of ICP International are as follows

To build a network of inline skating professionals from around the world.

To integrate and recognize existing national certification programs and associations by the development of an international standard of instruction for the sport of inline skating.

To become a resource in the exchange and promotion of teaching and business ideas as they relate to the sport of inline skating.

To develop and coordinate an annual international instructor conference.

Educating the public at the grassroots level has always been a priority of the IISA.  Introducing the sport in a safe and effective manner gives the skater the foundation of skills and practical experience neccessary in order to develop into a long term participant of the sport.
